HEY, I’M COCO.

My work is all about people, their passions, their hard work, and the moments that matter most. I focus on real life as it unfolds, using natural light and tones that stay true to the scene. My style is raw, relaxed, and authentic, with a focus on connection and honesty in every frame.

I first picked up a camera on my iPad back in 2013 and started sharing photos on a little Instagram account called @misscocophoto. Since then, I’ve never really put the camera down. I grew up around farms, sport, and community. Places full of energy and grit, that’s where my love for capturing real, hardworking moments began.

My time in Scotland deepened that connection even more. Being surrounded by rural life, early mornings, and unpredictable weather reminded me why I love storytelling through photos. It’s about people, places, and the small moments that tie them together.

My time rowing also shaped how I see the world through a lens. The focus, teamwork, and quiet determination behind the sport have a rhythm that feels familiar in my work. Capturing drive, emotion, and authenticity as they happen.

At the heart of it all, my goal is simple: to celebrate authenticity over perfection and create photos that feel real, honest, and full of connection. I like to keep shoots relaxed and natural so the images reflect who you are, capturing moments that show personality, emotion, and the story.

MY STORIES

THOUGHTS | STORIES | MOMENTS

A boy and girl standing and crouching in front of a school gate with a logo that reads 'Selwyn House School' and features a silhouette of a flying bird.

What started as a childhood curiosity has grown into a lifelong love for capturing real moments. Photography has become my way of seeing, connecting, and remembering. A reflection of the people, places, and stories that shape me.

Two women sitting on modern black metal and white cushioned chairs, holding large newspapers in front of their faces. The newspapers display headlines such as 'COMING SOON: SOLLE COLLECTIVE' and 'GIRLS TAKE OVER!'. Between them is a black rotary telephone on a black round side table. The women are dressed in black suits and white high heels, with one woman crossing her leg.

Authentic photography is about capturing people as they truly are. It’s the unplanned, real moments that tell the most meaningful stories and make images that truly connect.

An elderly woman with white hair smiling close to a young girl with blonde hair and a pink hair clip, who is holding yellow sunglasses in front of her. They are sitting at a table in an indoor setting.

What started as a hobby with an iPad camera has grown into something I can’t imagine life without. Photography has become my way of noticing things. The laughter, the light, and the moments that quietly say, “this is us.”

Three men in golf attire standing on a golf course with golf bags, engaging in conversation, surrounded by lush green trees and rolling hills.

Authentic photography is about capturing people as they truly are. It’s the unplanned, real moments that tell the most meaningful stories and make images that truly connect.

 FAQs

  • It all started in 2013 with an iPad camera and years later an Instagram account called @misscocophoto. Back then, I’d photograph anything and everything. By 2018, I joined an after-school photography course and realised this wasn’t just something fun to do. It was something I couldn’t imagine not doing.

  • People, places, and whatever feels alive in the moment. Portraits, branding, agriculture, sport, each one pulls something different out of me. I like the mix; it keeps things unpredictable and interesting.

  • I don’t feel I am at that “professional photographer” stage yet. I want to build trust, create a solid base of happy clients, and keep learning before charging full rates for shoots. It’s important to me that it feels fair for both sides.

  • There’s something I love about both. The quiet confidence of a posed shot, and the honesty that slips through in a candid one. For me, it’s about what tells the story best.

  • Raw, relaxed, and true to the moment. I want my photos to feel like being there, full of warmth, movement, and whatever energy was in the air that day.

  • Canon, always. It’s what Mum had when we were growing up, so when I bought my first camera in 2023, it just felt right.

  • I don’t want to stay in one lane. My goal is to keep building a base of clients and explore different industries. To keep growing, adapting, and finding new stories to tell along the way.

  • Photography isn’t my whole life yet, but it’s getting there. Every shoot, every new opportunity, every person I meet, it all adds up.

  • It’s never just about the subject; it’s about the people. When the energy is good, when everyone’s relaxed and having fun, that’s when the real moments show up. That’s what I chase every time.
